Black smoke rising, the sound of lead hitting steel, and the smell of gun powder in the crisp, fall mountain air, can mean only one thing ...it's time for the Arkansas State Black Powder Championship! The SASS affiliated cowboy action group, The White River Gang, will be hosting the event on October 18th and 19th of 2013 at Twin Lakes Gun Club in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Bull Shoals Historical Society Museum is open April through November, Thursday - Saturday.
Permanent exhibits include items from the construction of Bull Shoals Dam, with core samples from the dam construction site, workers' time tags and pay stubs.
From December 14th through January 3rd, Arkansas Trail of Lights is advertised across the state, inviting folks to tour a list of cities that have thrown out the welcome mat by decorating their town. We want to be one of those towns.
