Since the gravel road was paved to welcome President Harry Truman to dedicate the Bull Shoals Dam in the summer of 1952, for over 50 years visitors have been coming to Bull Shoals Lake and the White River to reclaim a sense of belonging to the land while “borrowing” her resources. Many choose the lake and river area as a retirement destination, and plan for their dream home of the future.
